The Honorable John Michael Guidry, a life-long resident of East Baton Rouge Parish, was sworn in as the 15^th Chief Judge of the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal at an investiture ceremony on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Judge Guidry will serve as the first African American Chief Judge in the more than 100-year history of the First Circuit Court of Appeal.  The ceremony took place at the courthouse located at 1600 North Third Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
