The Honorable Ronald R. Johnson is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He graduated from Baton Rouge High School in 1972 and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern University in 1977. In 1984 he earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center, graduating with the distinction of Cum Laude.

Judge Johnson has been steadfastly committed to the practice of law for over 35 years. During that time he has handled hundreds of criminal and civil cases as a private practice attorney and has served the state of Louisiana as an Assistant Attorney General.

Judge Johnson has made a point to give back to the Baton Rouge community. He served as a member of the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board from 1989 until 1995 and as a representative on the Baton Rouge Recreation and Parks Commission from 1989 until 1992. He is also Assistant Pastor of the New Rising Sun Baptist Church.

Judge Johnson is married to the lovely Andrea F. Johnson. They have five daughters and four grandchildren.
